I, effectively, juat need a placeholder that allow me to have a one button entry for a set time which enables the streamdeck usage.

My custom timer has a countdown that works like a traffic light in terms of the colour warnings. I do a lot of death by powerpoint and I am looking to use the timer as a notification to the presenters.

By using the trigger text actor, I can set the placeholder for the time on the screen. This time may change from presenter to presenter and I am just looking to automate this via a streamdeck. Not all around me are familiar with Isadora (give it time!) etc. Previous to this, I was just editing the various sections on the patch. I now have other people coming into the workplace and this will allow me to populate the streamdeck with standard times, start, stop etc in the streamdeck.

I was confusing the issue with TC but JFG's suggestion got me thinking ref the trigger text. I have two items I wish to achieve, a placeholder and a countdown timer. I was looking at this process as one action rather than two actions if actually is.

I had a quick try out and in a rough manner it works.

Many thanks all and I will gladly accept the award for the most obtuse query of the year.

Hopefully that explains my methodology.

Thank you

eamon

eamon

[ANSWERED] Blend Maker - Force Stage Issue

@eamon said:

Are there other ways to fade into the next scene with a jump actor that use those times? is there a way to automatically grab those times?

You could also just use one of the different Jump actors (for example Jump By Name) and set your fade times in the Jump actor. I usually don't use the Scene fade times and use jump actors instead. This might be a lot of work depending on whether you've already got a bunch of cues programmed.

Generally, I use a Background actor renamed to "#CUES" and put stuff like the Jump Macro you've built in there. Then I put that Background in the same place in every Scene (generally top right) so that I know where it is in any given Scene and, since the Background actor has been renamed to "#CUES", I can use the hashtag list to jump to it easily if I need to find and edit it.

I tend to make a template Scene with the stuff I need most often and just copy-paste that Scene when I need to create a new Scene, then modify the copy. It'll already have whatever Jump actor I'm using with a default timing of 3 seconds in it, so that I don't need to manually set that every time and only need to change that number if I want a different fade time for a specific Scene.

Woland

[ANSWERED] Triggering several Videos with Keyboard Watchers in one Scene

@jfg said:
