Should we be concerned that you are needing motivation?
Nah, I just ran across this while looking for something else and found this (though I appreciate the concern). Past me didn't have easy access to a printer but present me does. I like to keep little mementos around my desk that make me happy and I thought this would be a nice addition. <3
This conference looks great, and probably a lot of folks here would like it. I found out too late and too far away. If someone out there is Norway and goes please let me know here what it’s like.
@dillthekraut lots of places have fibre, especially for very long runs. Reels of rugged cat7 are multi use so they are pretty popular. This is especially true when you only need a single converter when the projector has built in hdbaseT
During are tech calls and while we were working this would never happen it only happens when we are running the show.
Is anything different in show conditions than in tech conditions? Using a different monitor for the operator? Running on a different computer? OS updated? Running additional software on the same computer?
I tried a few attempts at a workaround with the current Matrix Color Send to assign consecutive rows from a video stream to LED strip segments. I imagine using a single module is going to be best, but I got as far as using a series of Matrix Color Send modules in the Scene Editor. Then joining the outputs with a Text Formatter before the Artnet Send. The ability to flip and zigzag alternate rows is one of the features missed from the previous Matrix Color Send.
I found that the Matrix Color Send had the behaviour of not being configurable when positioned as a vertical series in the Scene Editor. For example, more than two Matrix Color Send actors placed one under the other became affected by the module above with the pixel indicators moving inside the pixel matrix viewer part of the UI when bringing the module close to and underneath the one above. This appeared to happen with three or more of the modules in the Scene Editor. I don’t know if it expected behaviour- seems odd to me.
I think I made a feature request for this ages ago, but it would be super useful if the list that appears when you double click in the workspace to search for an actor was programmable. If I could have my top 10 most used actors in there, I would be delighted.
@bonemap Thank you for your reply and the link to that thread! I had a feeling the limit might have something to do with the whole cycles thing. I will admit that I neglected to search the forum before asking this question, such is the danger of posting late at night. Hopefully the repeat topic will show that there is continued interest in pushing the limits of these actors. Maybe we'll get an answer this time around, now that hardware has advanced 5 years and gotten more powerful, as you pointed out.
