Hi all,
I'm really struggling with video loops for a project that's under a bit of a time crunch. The looping of the video is inconsistent. Sometimes, it reaches the end of the video and stutters very briefly before starting over, and sometimes, it stops completely. I have a few loops (of the same footage) that get out of sync as they don't always stutter/stop to the same degree. I'm seeking guidance that hopefully helps me avoid rendering longer videos.
For more context, I've attached a video of 2 Movie Players as I start a scene. The first time through, they only hesitate, but the second round, you can see a fairly substantial lag (it sticks on 99.5313 both times). This is only an 8-second video in 1080p encoded H.264. In this test, I restarted Isadora right before, I don't have the laptop connected to projectors or monitors, and the stage preview is off, so there isn't any video actually being rendered.
I must have used this loop feature so many times without issue. Any ideas?
Best,
Rory

Hey RL,
Regarding your second point;
- Open a new Isadora file
- Go to Isadora > Preferences
- Disable Activate First scene and instead set it to Don't activate any scene.
Using this method we can now go to Stage settings and disable sprout, if that doesn't work let us know and we can follow-up with you in a ticket.
Hi,
I have updated an old windows computer to a new one. Running win11 pro and a AMD Radeon Pro VII Graka.
Things went fine so far. But I have problem with an PCIe-USB Hub it seems. It appeared and dissapeared from my device manager. Also or because of this I ran into "not enough ressources" for USB-Webcams. That didn't appear from the beginning. I now deinstalled some USB-Hub Devices in the Device-Manager. They pop up directly again.
I also updated my AMD-Drivers.
NOW suddenly Isadora crashes as soon as I activate Spoud for a stage in the stage-setup.
That is a huge problem, because 1) I need spoud and 2) all my paches have it setup already. Meaning I can't open my showfiles anymore without Isadora crashing right away.
Please help - at least with the last problem. It is urgent.
Thank you!
Thanks! It would be great if I could join the beta program. At the same time I will also contact Rokoko since we have performances in the beginning of July and want to use the Rokoko Smartsuit with Isadora.

Here is what happened when I tried to use Rokoko Studio Legacy from the link you sent: when installing the legacy software, it updates automatically whithout a chance to avoid this. After opening / logging in I get the interface above with no Isadora option for livestreaming the data.
You'll need to contact Rokoko Support then and explain that you need access to the legacy version of their software for use with Isadora. That or you'll need to send in a ticket to us to join our beta program so you can use the updated Rokoko actor to work with the new software.

epochal 3.4.1 driver
Again, I really appreciate your help and effort to solve this weired problem. I uninstalled everything from Elgato and downloaded the 3.4.1 driver you are working with from here: https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-...
Unfortunately I was not able to install them... (I am on Sonoma)

// You can customize the names of your inputs and outputs using comments // like the ones below. Click the "Help" button and read "Customizing // Input and Output Names" to learn more. // iz_input 1 "input 1" // iz_output 1 "all true" function main() { for (let i = 0; i < arguments.length; i++) { var value = arguments[i] if (value == 0) { return 0 } }return 1
}
Yup this is perfect! Thank you!
Yes, the TT GLSL Shaders are good: https://troikatronix.com/add-ons/tt-glsl-shaders-for-isadora-2-3/
As are the IDLab GLSL Shaders you mentioned: https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/6474/some-new-glsl-effects?_=1713797436727
I'd suggest checking out the Rutt Etra actor.
You might be able to do fun things with this by inserting images into the chain somewhere: https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/5829/if-you-haven-t-tried-the-stage-background-actor-you-should?_=1713797138076
Playing with Virtual Stages and feedback loops can also be fun (I think I did it in some Scenes in this file: https://troikatronix.com/add-ons/mouse-control-of-3d-particles/)
You could also make some interesting alpha masks for your images: https://troikatronix.com/add-ons/tutorial-alpha-mask/
Best wishes,

The code block replaced '=>' with '=>'
Don't know why, but it won't let me fix it.
