<div>First I'd like to say thanks to everyone for creating such a responsive and informative forum! I've been working with Izzy for quite a few years now and the forum has been a constant source of inspiration and help.  </div>
<div>I'm now in the process of creating an interactive soundscape and I'm planning to use 4 separate audio channels to enhance the experience of being in the installation. <span style="font-size:10pt">I've worked out through discussions on the forum that multichannel audio out is supported on Mac (I'm running OS X ver 10.8.5) and after playing around with the Sound Movie Player, I have got four separate channels going using a stereo usb device and my internal speakers (I'm going to test this all out on one firewire audio device tomorrow) </span></div>
<div>But while I was playing around with all the audio settings, I noticed that Izzy is only seeing 1 track audio in movie files, whereas in audio files it does see the 2 separate channels left and right. Has anyone else noticed this? When I checked in Quicktime, it tells me the mov file has 2 audio channels. Is there a reason this is happening? Do I need to export differently? </div>

<div>Yes, it means there's one audio track -- the number channels within that track is not shown within Isadora. (In my examples above, Isadora would have reported 4 tracks and 8 tracks, respectively.)</div>

<div>It's stereo...I've taken a screen shot of the info.</div>
<div>It's when you hover the curser over the file in the movie media bin that it says the audio is only 1 Track? Does that actually mean 1 Track=2 Channels? Just getting my head around multi tracking in Izzy for the first time :)  </div>
<div>Cheers,</div>

<p dir="auto">But is that one track stereo or mono?</p>
<div>I have a couple of test movies, one with four stereo tracks, and another with 8 mono tracks. The screenshots below show how QT player reports them in the "Get Info" Window.</div>
