This is what I'm trying to do:</p>
<div>Use two, 4 camera security systems in isadora to project live video feeds. I have:</div>
<div>two Swann 4 channel Security systems with VGA and BNC video outs.</div>
<div>Two Elgato video capture devices.</div>
<div>One (possibly could use two) MacBook Pro 2013 running 10.8.5.</div>
<div>Isadora up to date with video upgrade.</div>
<div>I think, based on attempts and searching the forum, that the Elgato video capture device will not work.</div>
<div>Is this correct? If not, What will? </div>
<div>My Security systems are accessible via network, but I haven't been able to set that up yet. If I were to do that, could I get the feed into isadora via Syphon?</div>
<div>Do I need another capture device? it seems to be harder to find affordable, mac compatible capture devices. Is there a pc device that would do this more inexpensively, if I could get a pc?</div>
<div>Furthermore, <span style="font-size:10pt">is it even possible to use two systems on one computer or do I need to look into a master/slave setup?</span></div>
<div>Your help is very much appreciated.</div>
<div>Happy halloween,</div>

I went with the xlr8 xtrwview and it works pretty well. Occasionally it gives a yellow screen, which is supposed to mean that its not getting enough USB power, but I think I can fix that with a usb power booster. I moved my triple head power to a hub, and that has helped some. Hopefully I can determine what causes the feed loss. Thanks again!</p>

BlackMagic makes devises for USB3 as well</p>

<div>Sorry, I am not an expert on newer MBPs and BM products. My best experience is with Matrox MXO2. </div>
<div>Also I have had good luck with XLR8 type USB2 video grabbers. Namely EasyCap. </div>

Thoughts? I don't think I can use the black magic device because I only have one thunderbolt port and I'm using it to output to the triple head. Is this correct? Thanks, Duncan</p>
