I see what you are seeing.. and I'm not sure why.

There are still aspects of the v2 processing mode I am not familiar with..

I have changed the file to include a blank start scene.

and your test in the next scene.

as well.. I added a enter scene trigger -> counter, and a 'user on/off' actor.

Toggling the 'user on/off' will force an enter scene/init that triggers my new enter scene trigger -> counter

But not your original one, however, I do see an initial trigger on opening the scene... not sure how this differs from 'enter scene'

I am going to start a support ticket on this.. and include you, so watch for an email.

DusX

Reply to Trigger text actor on Sat, 22 Aug 2015 20:36:09 GMT

@DusX

What version are you running?

Can you try adding a user actor.. in that user actor add a 'user on off' actor, cut it.

and move out of the user actor. Then paste the 'user on off'

Now, if you toggle the 'User on off' actor, do you see the green line/trigger from the 'trigger text' actor?

Let me know your version, and I will test in the same.

DusX

Reply to Trigger text actor on Sat, 17 Jan 1970 16:04:29 GMT

@Michel

I'm not talking about counter settings. The patch is for to proof that the text actor triggers on the initial activation of a scene - you can even see the line turning green the first time. From now on you can deactivate/activate the scene a million times, the current value, because set to initialize MIN, will always be MIN, but if you close the file and open again - voila, there is the 1 again.

If you can confirm this behaviour I will file a bug report.

Thanks

Ok I see what you mean, well it's not consistent but also not wrong. Your min value is 1 and if you set your init to max you will sometimes get 100 or sometimes max.
So besides of the inconsistency of the displayed value does it behave wrong?

Can you file a bug report, so we can fix the inconsistency.

If I open this file here on my system, there is 1 in 'cur value' of the counter, although initialize set to MIN - leave scene - reenter - correct.

Mmmh, I can't recreate this in 2.0.5, what plugins are you using? trigger text, text draw and projector?
