I could get frequency analysis fine but could not send the audio to the speakers.</p>
<div>Is this possible or is it only not working on my system?</div>

<div>I don't a DV camera handy to try this, but I assume you mean that it does not show up in the list of input devices in the Sound Input actor? (Or are you talking about seeing it in the Audio Midi Setup program?) 
<div>Probably the reason for this is that DV audio is multiplexed with the video -- it's not a "true" sound input. So I would not be surprised that you cannot send it to the speakers, etc.</div>
