<![CDATA[External GPU with a Mac and Isadora 2018​]]>I have read the posts about using an external GPU with a Mac and Isadora from 12 month ago at https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/3259/external-gpu-experiences

I was wondering if anyone has recently tried an eGPU with a Mac and Isadora, and what their experience has been. I also would appreciate if someone can answer the following questions:

  • Is it advisable to use an external GPU on a Macbook Pro with a Thunderbolt 2 connection or should it be a Macbook Pro with a Thunderbolt 3 connection?
  • Which enclosure  is suggested for a Thunderbolt 2 MacBook Pro Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015 with a AMD M370X GPU.
  • Would using an external GPU with this Macbook Pro enable a higher frame rate than the fastest 2013 MacPro with the D700 GPU?
  • Must an external GPU on a Mac use  macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 ?
