I confirm that when starting Isadora 3 with Rosetta, the error above is gone. I don't have a kinect connected to that machine, so can't test further.

eight

Reply to [ANSWERED] Kinect v1 on mac mini m1 on Sun, 13 Feb 2022 23:03:18 GMT

@bonemap is spot on.
Hi,

The OpenNi Tracker plugin will only run in Rosetta emulation mode on the M1.

From the 3.1 release notes:

OpenNI is Intel-Only On macOS

The OpenNI Tracker actor uses a third-party library that is compiled for Intel-based computers, and will never be upgraded to offer a native Apple silicon (ARM/M1) version. If you want to use the OpenNI Tracker actor on an Apple silicon-based Mac, you will need to enable Isadora to run Isadora in Rosetta (i.e., Intel emulation) mode.

Best wishes
