Connect a note on watcher into the trigger input and configure some form of midi input from a DAW, ensure that the port numbers are properly coordinated, and it should output useful tempo information.

Download here vvv

Tempo-Watcher

I'm also wondering if it's possible to edit the help information in a user actor, if anybody could provide some guidance. If you haven't yet, I suggest going through the add-ons page, to grab all the great user actors already posted for use there.

wondering if it's possible to edit the help information in a user actor

User Actors don't have that capability yet. It is something we have in our feature requests. I sometimes link a Text actor (double click it to open a text editor window) to a User Actors output and label it as help text. This allows it to be read from outside the user actor. It's a slight workaround. Of course, you can also write comments inside the user actor, with formatting, which can be helpful for documentation.

DusX
