<![CDATA[[ANSWERED] OSC from PC to Mac]]>Hi, I'm currently am wanting to transmit OSC from a PC to a Mac, both running Isadora and connected via ethernet cable. I used to do this okay way back in 2010 but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working with my current setup. I have different static IP addresses on each machine (though am a little rusty setting this up in windows 10). I'm guessing I missed a step. Is there an online guide for this?

Hi! I think that you need a special network cable to connect directly two computers, called a crossover cable.

I agree that the easy way is to put a router between the two computes and use a normal ethernet cable.

 We do not have a guide for this currently. We once had one for setting up an adhoc network on Windows, but the required components were taken out in Windows 10.
Generally what you are trying to do is easily accomplished if you use a router between the machines, but it sounds like you want a direct connection.
