Stages have no connection to sound, they are purely for video output.

If you want to capture audio and video output at the same time you could use OBS. You will need:

The free software OBS.This OSC-for-OBS User Actor of mine to start and stop the recording.The free software OSC-for-OBS. The free obs-websocket plugin for OBS (required for using the OSC-for-OBS software). 

(My notes on this are a few years old, but that's how I've done this before.)

@woland Yes I think it should be possible to simply record all the content ie the audio and the video.

This was resolved via the ticket system. In the current release of Isadora, if you have some special characters in the file name, eg / \ | ? * ", then the capture actors won't work correctly. This has been fixed in an internal beta and thus this won't be a problem once we have a new public release.

 Yes. That's right. If you choose a render speed that is < 100%, every time based function in Isadora is slowed down proporionally (i.e., Wave Generators, Envelope Generators, Trigger Delay, et. al.) This gives Isadora more time to generate every frame and thus should result in full and accurate frame rates. The only caveat is that you cannot have real-time input because it is not slowed down proporionally.
