      Hi All,

Well I just finished programming the first full draft of the show I'm working on. We are doing the first full pass today for a small audience in preparation for the Premiere at Worldstage. For those of you in Toronto, or coming for Worldstage this year, I hope that you can come to the show.

It is my first show with Isadora and I am very excited about it. The whole piece is based on Christian Bok's univocalic poem EUNOIA. The video plays with the ways in which the performance and performers are involved in conceptual linguistic constraints - they are linguistic elements, parts of speech, letters and words. Its a very playful and surprising piece.

If you do come, please do pop by and say hi at the desk.

      Best,

      • Justin

Thanks guys. @skulpture, I was not at Worldstage in Cardiff.  I used a lot of rigidbody dynamics in Cinema 4D, particular in After Effects and good old keyframes (what is eMotion?). There were 2 isadora generated segments, one using corner pin actor with the corners being modulated with frequency analysis to create dancing letter "O"s, and one using a particle generator to create a sea of drifting words that followed along with the text as it was read.

I did find that there were some playback issues with the video files- skipped frames etc but I managed to work around it for the most part. I really like being able to use various logic to trigger clips, dissolves etc. Lots of fun.

I presumed it was that. Very nice effects! :)
