Issue with Spouting into Isadora
-
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me solve this issue. I am running the newest version of Isadora on a Windows machine, and am trying to spout into Isadora from either MAX or Resolume. Although I tried to follow the guide located [here,](http://troikatronix.com/support/kb/using-spout-ffgl-video-sharing) it doesn't seem to be working for me. Isadora is not finding any actors called SpoutReceiver or SpoutSender, so I can't place it in my patch. Isadora is definitely recognizing Spout though, as it appears as a video input device under my live capture settings.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much! -
@DusX is the man to help you out here. :)

First, are you running the Early Adopters version of Isadora 2? This is important since it is the first edition to support FreeframeGL which is how the Spout plugins work.If so, we then need to check if you have the plugins installed. Have you copied the plugin files from the Spout installation directory to your freeframe directory? Do you have any standard freeframes installed (petes maybe)? You need to add the Spout plugins to the same location.Once installed is rather easy, the steps in the tutorial will walk you thru it. -
Hi Dus,
Thank you for the quick reply.I am currently running 1.3.1f06\. I have my SpoutReceiver.dll and SpoutSender.dll located under Program Files (x86) --> Common Files --> Freeframes, since I do have Pete's plugins installed.I did follow the guide up until this part, as I still get nothing appearing...
- In the empty patch window double-click and type ‘spout’ in to popup search field. Isadora should list the Spout actors that are now available to you. Select the SpoutReceiver and add it to your patch.

Version 1.3 supports freeframe, but not freeframegl (a newer effects specification). Spout functionality is only available in Isadora v2 (currently only available via the early adopters program) but to be release officially in the near future.
