A Solution for Double-Sized Retina Images in the Forum
-
Dear Community,
I don't know about anybody else, but the double sized images created when doing screenshots on a Retina Mac drive me batty.
Unfortunately, there's no way to force Mac OS snapshot feature to create "normal" resolution images, so I was always resizing the images I upload here manually. This morning to whip up a much easier solution.
Below you'll find a little Automator application that will scale your images down by 50%. Just drop the screenshot on the app, and it's size will be reduced. Then, when you upload it. the image in the forum will be the same size as you saw it on your screen. Easy peasy. ;-)Enjoy,

So I take it that my screenshots look different to me on my computer than they do to others with non-retina displays?
-
Yes they look double the size and when you view them on the forum half of it goes off the screen.

Dear @Woland,
Don't go back and fix older posts. It's not worth the effort. Just do the "normal" sized ones from now on.
Best Wishes,

Understood. Sorry I was unknowingly driving you nuts.
