Capture Stage to Picture
Hi,
It is included in the forthcoming 2.6 release. Should be available anytime soon.
Best wishes

Thanks for the answer....so I've to wait....

I think the fact that members of the development team are openly discussing the new features suggests it is very close to being released for general access.

a Camera To Picture variant ;)
Personally, I'd love a Capture Camera to Picture actor, but I have a slightly different suggestion. Basically my dream is the Capture Stage to Picture, but with a GPU in instead of a Stage select. That way you could hook it up to anything at any stage of manipulation in your Patch (fresh feed from Video In Watcher, or a heavily-modified feed that's ready to go to a Projector Actor). I think it'd be more flexible than a Capture Camera to Picture actor, and I'd appreciate having it for when my Stages are maxed and I want to take pictures of something that's not necessarily on one of my stages.
Best wishes,

Great idea Woland. A GPU video signal and a trigger to take a picture would be great !

@crystalhorizonCan't wait!

@woland Yep, this has been a feature request for years, I was surprised when it appeared it was stage focused not signal focused.

That would be a relatively easy request to fulfill, given that it's grabbing it off the GPU already. (I had also thought about the usefulness of this.)
I'll discuss with the team if we can include it in the final build of v2.6, given that it's a plugin and doesn't affect the main app which is far more dangerous.
Best,

Things one can't say about any other Multimedia Software Tool. I may be friends with other pieces of software, but Isadora is definitely family.
Always happy to be part of the process.
Best wishes,
