Use of Photoshop file with layers in mapping tool
-
Hej folks, I am well on my way to project video on our school/castle. In order to understand the whole procedure I glued some A3 copies together to try it out.
I took a picture of our school/castle and made a few masks I want to use in Izzy. Do I remember right, that there was a way to use Photoshop-files within the mapping tool? Or was that wishful thinking? Best regards, Thomas -
Not that I know. You can open .PSD files but don't have access to the layers.Best Michel -
Here is what I did: 1. I took a picture of the building I want to use as background for my projection. I created a bunch of masks in Photoshop, which fit nicely into each other.
In Izzy I used the AlphaMask element between the movie player and the projector, in order to cut my video footage into different shapes. Within the mapping tool I can map my INPUT and OUTPUT, but it feels not very precise and actually double the work, since I have to map along the masks, that are already created...Is there another way to import masks into the mapping tool? -
Is there any easier way to do this?
