Workshop/inspiration needed for ISU Theatre
-
Hello All,
I am trying to interest ISU Theatre in getting an Isadora license, especially for an upcoming opera. I think having someone do an inspirational workshop to get the tech folks interested would do the trick. Please reply here or contact me at valeriejwilliams @ yahoo.com for more information or to let me know if you are interested in spending a day or two in Ames, Iowa. $.Valerie

Hi Valerie:
The Rochester Civic Theatre (MN) is just about to open up a month run of "Shrek". We are incorporating Isadora very heavily with 40' set 3D animation projections designed in Unreal Engine 4. There is also green screen actor integration, 2 video camera inputs, and all sound FX via Isadora. The entire media set is controlled by the lighting board triggering Isadora. Your group would be welcome to come visit and see the "behind the scenes" Q/A or workshop of Isadora being put to the test. (It has proven to be a remarkable tool!) Kevin Dobbe (kdobbe@me.com)

That sounds amazing, I'd kill to see that setup in person!
We'd love it if you could tag us when and if you share any photos or videos on social media so that we can share them with our followers too. We're always excited to see what our users around the world create with Isadora and love to celebrate our community! #troikatronix

Best wishes,

Hi Valerie -
I am on faculty at University of Iowa. I teach Digital Media in Live Performance and am a freelance designer. One of the classes I teach is Installations and Interactive Performance using Isadora. I lead workshops and would be happy to hop over to Ames. Feel free to email me at daniel-fine@uiowa.edu
