[SOLVED] Hot linking doesn't work anymore

hot linking in isadora doesn't work anymore. I switched it many times on an off, but actors doesn't connect anymore. Also inserting actors is not working.
I remember that it worked some time ago, but when I wanted to show it to a friend, it was gone.
Is there anybody who has an idea?

What version of Isadora are you using and are you on Mac or PC. Only this way we can try to reproduce it.

I'm using version 2.6.1
I have a MacBook Pro 2018 running Mojave, but it also doesn't work on my old MacBook Pro 2010.

yes ist's activated. I have tried to deactivate it, restart the app, activated it and restart the app again, but no difference. it's nit working.

I have found that on machines I install Isadora on cleanly - with no previous version of Isadora on it the hotlinking works. On machines that had/have previous versions of Isadora on it the hotlinking does not work.
. . . at least that is what I think is going on - regardless - There are certain installs of the most current version of the software that I have that also fail to have working hotlinking regardless of how the preference settings and regardless of if I reinstall the software.
