So I don't typically use HDMI audio out, but the gig I'm working on now prefers that setup.  I can get audio routed to the HDMI from the MacBook Pro, but the first half second or so of a sound is cut off.  This doesn't occur when using the laptop's speakers, and it doesn't occur all of the time, maybe 90% of the time?  Has anyone encountered this issue before?  I'm on a mid 2010 Macbook Pro, running 10.10.5.  Thanks!

I've had some odd things but nothing that bad. Mine is sample frequency from the computers hardware seems to be off a little from 48k, so I get some ticks and pops but not enough to stop me from using it.

@craigw, hmm...it might be a sample rate issue, but I don't really want to investigate further, now that we've bypassed the HDMI completely and are just using a DI.  Thanks!
