How exactly does the one week rental work? Does it activate as soon as you buy it? I would like to suggest it for an upcoming workshop, but would need those who want it to get 2 weeks rental. That is fine, that is just buying 2. Is it easy to buy 20 week long rental codes and give them to the workshop participants in the first day and on the first day of the second week?

There's a seven day countdown that starts when you buy it, but we enabled an option that restarts a 7-day countdown from the time that you first activate the license. (I was already running a test to confirm this and just did. I had a 7-day license set to expire on the 28th, let the timer expire without activating it, then activated it just now without any problems and now the expiration date is seven days from now.)

TLDR: Ignore the expiration date it says before you activate it for the first time, the first time you activate the license it will reset the expiration date to seven days from the date you first activated it.

When you buy more than one of any given license at the same time on the store, it bundles them together into a single license ID, so buying 20 7-Day Rental Licenses at the same time would give you one License ID and it would start counting down 7-days from the first time you activated that license on a computer (not what you want).

For your specific use case, I would suggest that you as the instructor purchase to two 10-seat 7-Day Rental Licenses, so you'll want to do two separate transactions of ten 7-Day Rental Licenses and charge your workshop participants for the license (include it in the cost of your workshop).

This is easier than relying on them all to get it themselves, and also means that you can distribute a single License ID and Password to all the participants at the same time at the beginning of the first week, and a different License ID and Password at the beginning of the second week.

@woland ok great I think I get it, and yes as the temp licences are part of the workshop I need to manage them and buy them myself. Good to know.

          Cheers
