[ANSWERED] Is exporting videos with effects applied in Isadora possible?
-
Hello all- BRAND NEW to Isadora. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the effects on imported media within Isadora, and then export the file to play as a regular video with those effects applied? Also, can you use a pre recorded sound clip to effect the dot size on the dots effect? Or are these effects only possible through the live feed of video and sound? Many thanks in advance! Helen

You can record your video composition. See the Output menu, Record Stage settings.
You have the option of recording at realtime, or (if your composition is complex) to render at a faction of reatime (eg: 20% speed).
On Mac (not available on PC), you can play MP3 files via Quicktime (set optimize to 'interactive') and add the 'freq bands' input (by double clicking the 'eye' icon left of the Actors name). This input will allow you to set a number of audio analysis outputs.
You can use these to control your 'dot' size etc.. -
I remember your name from an automatic report you sent to our ticket center yesterday and I just wanted to say that I could see from the report that you were using a very old version of Isadora 1 (which is no longer supported) on a computer running macOS 10.9.x (which is also no longer supported).
If you would like to upgrade to Isadora 3, it is cross-platform (Mac and Windows), fully 64-bit, offers a number of new, exciting features, can be used with the new Online License Portal for easy license management, and is supported on Windows 10 and macOS 10.11.x (El Capitan) to macOS 10.14.x (Mojave).
If you do not wish to upgrade to Isadora 3, we highly recommend that you at least update to the most recent version of Isadora 2, which can be found on the TroikaTronix legacy downloads page. Isadora 2 is runs on Windows 10 and macOS 10.10.x (Yosemite) to 10.13.x (High Sierra).
If you would like to keep your current version of Isadora intact but also download the most recent version of Isadora 2, you can install multiple versions of Isadora on your machine by following the steps laid out in this TroikaTronix article.Best wishes,
Woland
