Can I ( and how do I) move say 10 concurrent scenes from an old project, into a new project ?

I dont know if there is a magic way, but you can select all and copy in one scene, create an empty scene in another project and paste. If I remember correctly you have to klick in the scene window first to clarify where you want to paste to. So there is one more klick after making an empty scene.

Thats how I do it, maybe there is a better way.

MAC + PC - Cannibalize a copy of the Old Patch and make it into the New Patch.

If you haven't started the New Patch yet:

Open the Old Patch.
Select "File > Save As" and save a new copy.
Delete all the Scenes except the ten you want as the basis for your New Patch.
Start making your New Patch out of the skeleton of your Old Patch.

MAC - Open two instances of Isadora (same version), copy-paste multiple Scenes from Old Patch to New Patch

On Mac, if you need to copy Scenes from an Old Patch into a New Patch that you've already started:

On Mac you can open multiple instances of Isadora, (unfortunately you can't do this on PC), so open the Old Patch and the New Patch at the same time.
In the Old Patch: Shift+click to select a range of Scenes in the Scene List.
Press Cmd+C to copy.
In the New Patch: Select the Scene List.
Click between the Scenes (as you would if you were trying to insert a new Scene between the existing ones).
Press Cmd+V to paste.

Note: You can't open two different versions of Isadora and paste Scenes between them.

You can copy-paste Scenes from one 2.6.1 Patch to another 2.6.1 Patch
You can copy-paste Scenes from one 3.0.2 Patch to another 3.0.2 Patch.
You can't copy-paste Scenes from an Isadora 2.6.1 Patch into an Isadora 3.0.2 Patch.

Note: On Windows, you can only have one instance of the same version of Isadora open at a time, so you can't use this method.

Windows - "Pack" the Scenes from the Old Patch into Macros, save them, then "unpack" the Macros into new Scenes in the New Patch

Note: If you are working on Windows but have access to a Mac it will be faster to quickly port the New+Old Patches over to the Mac, use the Mac-Only "Copy-Paste" method, then move the New Patch back to the Windows machine.

On Windows, if you need to copy Scenes from an Old Patch into a New Patch that you've already started (and you don't have access to a Mac):

In the Old Patch:

Duplicate the Old Patch (to preserve the original) and open the copy of the Old Patch.
Go into a Scene that you want to copy into the New Patch.
Press Ctrl+a to select everything in the Scene.
Press Ctrl+c to copy everything in the Scene.
Place a Macro.
Right Click the Macro and give it a unique name that identifies the Scene ("Scene #" or "Live Feed" etc.).
Double-Left-Click the Macro to go inside it.
Press Ctrl+v to paste the contents of the entire Scene into the Macro.
Exit the macro by clicking the little "X" at the top of the user interface (to the right of the Actor Toolbox and below the Snapshot List).
Right-Click the Macro and Select "Save Macro".
Save the Macro in your Global User Actor Folder.
Repeat steps 2-11 for each Scene you want to port over to the New Patch.

Once you've saved each Scene from the Old Patch as a Macro in the Global User Actor Folder, Quit Isadora.

In the New Patch:

Reopen Isadora to open the New Patch (the one you want to move Scenes into from the Old Patch).
Create a new Scene.
Place one of the Macros you saved.
Double-Left-Click the Macro to go inside it.
Press Ctrl+a to select everything in the Macro.
Press Ctrl+c to copy everything in the Macro.
Exit the macro by clicking the little "X" at the top of the user interface (to the right of the Actor Toolbox and below the Snapshot List).
Press Ctrl+v to paste the contents of the Macro Scene into the Scene.
Delete the Macro from the Scene.
Repeat New Patch Steps 2-9 for each Macro you have made to turn each Macro back into a Scene.
