      Hi, I am looking at getting a bunch of rental licenses for a short gig. The license is 7 days, but how can I time my purchase it so its valid in time, including administrating time, but not ahead of time?

      Is the 7 days from the first day of usage?

      Thank you

        @fubbi

        I am nearly sure that the rentals do not begin their countdown until the first day of activation. But @Woland is the one who knows for sure.

        Lucas? Can you please give the deffinitive answer?

        Best Wishes,

          Hi Mark, thank you

          One more thing please; Can I specify that I want them to run for two weeks? Basically I need five licenses for two weeks. I would love to order right away and activate later this week

          Please advise

          Mucho appreciado

            Lucas has verified it will start the clock upon activation, so you'll get your full week. The system we use will indicate a starting date that shows the day of purchase when you complete the purchase, but that is reset upon activation. (I know that's a bit confusing, but we don't have control over this.)

            In terms of two week rentals, we don't have them -- just the one week option. But it's actually cheaper to purchase a monthy subscription (17 EUR for a month instead of 10 EUR per week.) These however are subscriptions, so you'll have to remember to cancel the automatic renewal.

            Best Wishes,

              @fubbi

              P.S. These licenses do not require manual intervention, so you'll receive them within minutes of purchase.

                    Hi

                    Do i need to cancel my rented licenses or do they expire after a month?

                      If you got the monthly option, it's only available as a subscription so you need to unsubscribe.

                      Account details/links will have been sent to you at time of purchase. Just follow the link (fastspring) and cancel/unsubscribe.

                        I set all the installations to "deactivated". Is that enough? I can't find any reference to unsubscribing anywhere

                        Thank you

                          I beleive you need to use the 'cancel' option in the FastSpring page.

                          You may have used the Portal Page to 'deactivate' your licence installs. This page is for handling of license installs/activations.

                          Subscriptions can only be modified thru the FastSpring website. The link should be included with the first emails you received after placing the order.
                          If I remember correctly if may be linked to the Invoice view.

                             This is the information you need. You must cancel the subscription through the link provided to you by Fastspring in the original purchase email you received from them. They are the vendor (the one charging your account) so you must go through them.
