The plan is to release it in a point release.

Or even faster, we'll probably just to make a new plugin available on the awesome new Plugins page.

              Fantastic news!!

I know there is other ways to get NDI (spout or syphon to NDI) but I would like to have a native, solid and with lowest latency possible solution....

              Thank you

              Stefano

Well, the existing plugins and Isadora will likely be the same in terms of this. That's pretty much NDI's deal.

Hi there! NDI out is a great new feature... but are there any news on the NDI input plug-in?

                  All the best. D1gits

Would there be a benefit for having NDI in the Input>Live Capture> ?

In terms of programming, I know it would not be much different than a separate plug-in, but perhaps it can help standardize the interface for video inputs, checking input signals solve signal name changes or just to check there is a incoming signal without creating nodes for preview.

It's on the list. I know you all want it, but I'm trying to finalize the body tracking plugins and also to fix a couple of "hotspot" bugs for the Windows version.

It's just a much bigger job because I have to develop a standardized interface that sort of pretends to be a web cam. The NDI plugin will come first beause it's much simpler to do. If we discern that using NDI is a big deal in terms of the larger user base, we'll head in the direction you describe above.

I just delivered a working NDI Input plugin to the team for testing. We'll get it out to the beta testers and then out to you all as soon as we are sure it's stable. ;-)

My attention has been focused on Kinect/Depth tracking actor. If you want this and are not part of the beta program, then open a ticket and ask to join the beta program. I will be posting a beta of the NDI input plugin to the beta tester only thread in the next day or two.
