[ANSWERED] Cube in quartz composer
-
Hello to all…
Some time ago I created a cube in quartz composer (using "Lighting" and inside a "Cube").
Everything worked with an Isadora actor, until I lost the .qzt file from the compositions folder and at the start of the patch in Isadora I got the search plug-in screen. Now I have recreated the actor Cube in quartz composer, but when I add it to Isadora the actor, at the bottom of the predefined functions, gives me "n / a" in the Stage and I can't see anything
Can anyone tell me how can I solve the problem ???
Thanks

Stage should say 'n/a' if the Video Preferences are set to the default. You should set the stage in the Projector actor instead.
Can you post the actor so we can try to reproduce the problem?

This the Actor ....

Zip it and upload it

Excuse me, Mr. Mark.
But I don't know what's going on ... I tried several times to load from the "file" item in the chat box, but nothing happens, it doesn't load any file. The extension of the actor's file is QTZ ... I think it's the only "actor" file I can upload ...
I await your news

.qtz is not allowed to upload in the forum. That's why you are always good to zip the file if it doesn't upload. As you did now.

Please Mark don't forget me.
I need the cube for a finished patch and it's a job ready for publication ...
I still apologize for the emails sent, when I didn't understand how to upload files to the forum. Next time I'll be more careful.

I am looking at it now. It works in v2.6.1, but it doesn't seem to work in v3. I am not sure why yet. I am not sure how long it will take me to determine the cause.
Could you simply use a 3DS Model of a cube? You could do all the same stuff with it in the 3D Player. Here's one to try in an Isadora 3.0.2 patch.

OK, I'm sorry to say that you identified a bug in the 3.0.2 release which I've now fixed. 3.0.3 is coming soon, as that is our release to address Catalina issues. But in the meantime, I suggest you consider the workaround I posted previously, using a 3DS model of a cube.

Thanks so much for the update news !!!
so quartz composer from vervione 3.0.3 will return to being able to produce actors for isadora ???
I will definitely consider the 3DS option for the cube.

See you soon
