[Isadora 2 is not compatible with Mojave] Bugs since I moved to Mojave.
-
Hello, I tour a show wich was running very well for 2 years on Mavericks and izz 2.5.2 but now I jumped to Mojave and even with 2.6.1 I have holes on the sound of the movies even with very simple patch (like a movie player, a ffgl crop and a projector)... I have other heavy parts with scenes activated. It's never in the same "position" and when it happens for like a third of a second, I have my links going out of the movie player changing color and the loop end actor output is trigged.
My movies are H264 720p on the old project and on another new project a global 400p MPEG4 given by a company. I still have more than 100 GO free on my ssd and I cleaned (onyx and disk utility) as possible my laptop
Any quick solution ? I play tomorrow afternoon...
Thanks

Let's start by saying that Isaodra 2.x is not recommended for Mojave in general, as mentioned many times in this forum and on our social media feeds. Isadora 3 was designed to address these issues.
It remember a bug in v2.5.2, in certain situations, the background movie player application (which works under Isadora's control) could crash. This could be the source of your dropout. Unfortunately there is no easy way to determine if the background movie player is crashing. So we can't prove that this is the case.
I know this bug is fixed in Isadora 3, but that's too big a jump for a show that starts tomorrow. Instead would try 2.6.1 (This is a relatively safe move as the differneces between 2.6.1 and 2.5.2 are not hugely profound, but you must accept the fact that it is never a good idea to switch versions right before a show.) I would say try it in 2.6.1 and see how you fare. If it works better, test as thoroughly as possible before putting this show in front of an audience.
Get v2.6.1 here:

Hello Mark, my problem was already on 2.6.1 because I had to adapt my patch from 2.5.2 when I had to move to Mojave for other softwares. The random problem surprised me and it's the first time I have a bug during a show with izz in nearly 13 years.
