This is the first time I've run a longterm installation (3-1/2 months, every day, 8 hrs/day).  This last month I've had erratic playback issues where the video will suddenly start playing super fast, or fast for the 1st part of a movie then resume normal speed.  New mac mini, Mojave, Izzy 3.02, straight playback of APR (Apple Pro Res) files, on a timer set to a black scene until next morning.  A reboot seems to help.  The mac mini gets warm but not unusually so (not hot).  Any insights will be appreciated.

      MacBookPro,

I haven't seen or heard of this happening before.

Do you mean that Isadora is never closed and the computer is never shut down overnight? You may want to look into Applescript + Automator and making a startup item that opens Isadora every day to give the computer itself a break. You can also use a script to automatically shut it down and then get one of those outlet timers + Enable the option to power on when power is detected.
