Ideas for social distancing creative wellbeing

@bonemap, @Clement, @Woland
Thanks for a good start. I managed to get through my workday, slept and tried to recap, what we have been talking about.
@Clement: I am not sure, if I really got the full idea of your project. It would be nice to see, how Izzy comes into the game.
But it was definitely interesting to hear about it.
Most of all I was happy to meet you and share time with you. It is an odd thought, that we are locked down around the globe.
And in the same time France feels like next door and Australia seems to be just around the corner...
I tried to repatch my project, but I was not very successful tweaking my patch.
Obviously I was to tired ;o)@bonemap: I was quite impressed by your puppet actor (and Rebeccas performance ;o): For a puppeteer, this has always been a dream to get access to a tool, that allows theses natural movements.
Is there any chance to look at the implementation of the 3d tree into the skeleton actor in the future?... As far as I remember, it is quite some math to connect the xyz coordinates to the joints of the skeleton.Looking forward seeing you next week, best wishes, Tom

@bonemap, @tomthebom, @Woland,
Thank you for setting up this place of expression and sharing ideas, it's a good way to meet other users and it was nice to share time with you.
@bonemap your work with particle actor and the one with depth camera are amazing, as usual :)
It's a good idea to look after band frequences to find transition times and recall preset forms, and your 3D model made with tree branches is great : it reminds me what you did with 3D neuron from Eyewire :
https://community.troikatronix...@tomthebom I hope to see more when audio issue due to Zoom interface will be fixed.
All the best, bye !

Hi, bandwith is very limited here due to my wife and daughter being in online meetings....
I just make the experience, that meetings at night are much better for these kind of events.
My work also wants me to join a meeting at 13.00... ;o(I am really sorry for that.
But I hope, I can show you something today... ;o) -

I'm a complete idiot. For some reason my brain translated "12:30am on Tuesday" to being half an hour past when Tuesday rolled around to midnight at the end of the day.
So I got ready for the meeting today (as if it were going to be after my workday on Tuesday) when really the meeting was 24 hours ago.
When are we meeting next? I actually have something to show this time. (I'll get the knack of this scheduling thing, I swear! )

Hi Lucas,I was anticipating that Doodle would handle the scheduling for us but it appears to have failed.
I hope you are doing OK?
Best Wishes
Russell

I am the one who has failed, not Doodle. I even manually entered it into my Calendar incorrectly.
Normal Brains: 12:30am Tuesday = 12:30am Tuesday Morning (Beginning of Tuesday)
My Brain: 12:30am Tuesday = 12:30am Wednesday Morning (End of Tuesday)

As well as one can during the apocalypse I suppose.

Haha, good to hear, that we all at least were creative about the meeting time: I was ready to roll Tuesday at 12.30 LUNCHTIME ;O). I felt quite stupid afterwards. Shall we schedule a new meeting?

@bonemap, @dbini, I have the go ahead for this little mobile projection project. I'll do a separate post on this too, but thought I would add the information here too. Again, I have no idea how this will end up, but I think it'll be fun to experiment! I'll be strapping some projectors to my truck, projecting onto apartments, houses, storefronts and lawns of various Cincinnati neighborhoods; bringing projection art to the people, as it were. Since we'll be moving, we can't really do any sort of mapping, and the content should be pretty atmospheric and textural, given we'll be projecting onto a multitude of surfaces. But thematically, it should focus on our current separation, and what still connects us, either as a city or globally. There will be a small stipend for this, but I can't give a concrete amount at the moment; basically whatever is left of the funding after equipment expenses will be divided up between collaborators. Just let me know if you'd be down to play, and we'll work out the specifics. Thanks!
