[ANSWERED] Intel Macbook Pro 16" Kinect V2, OpenNI, Crashing
-
Hi,
I am a new user who got Isadora and Kinect v2 to create an interactive installation. However, Isadora crashes as soon as I open up the OpenNI tracker actor while connected to Kinect v2.
I've installed the OpenNI Tracker v0.9.8b4 and moved the masquerade.txt files to the proper folders.
I have kinect v2 connected to my macbook pro via an apple usb-c to usb-a
The Kinect v2 is also plugged into a Microsoft Kinect Adapter.
Can somebody please help me? I've looked all over the forums and the troikatroninx youtube channel to no avail. Thank you in advance!

I suggest that you open a ticket so that you can share your crash report with us and we can look into it. If you get your crash reports you can submit them at the same time you submit the ticket; follow these instructions to find out how to gather those crash reports.
Also, please add your operating system to your signature line, as this helps everyone to help you better here in the forum.
Best Wishes,

Im having a similar issue on several different Macs. On my Mac Pro and yy MacBook Pro (In High Sierra, Catalina). With Izzy 3.0.8, 3.0, 3.1.1. Isadora crashes as soon as I add the OpenNi Tracker actor if I have the Kinect v2 (1520) plugged in. If Isadora is closed and I start with NiMate, NiMate sees the Kinect v2, so I know the camera works, cables work, etc. But If I add the openNi actor, it crashes Isadora. If The Kinect v2 is unplugged and I add the open actor, no crash. Masquerade.txt is (I think) in the proper folder. The "READ ME- BODY Tracking with...." file says to put it in the same folder as the plugin.
