Once I've downloaded the FFGL plugins and installed them in the Freeframe_x64 folder, I'm unable to find them when I open Isadora. The root directory is seen below.

I realise I must be doing something incredibly stupid, apologises. Everything worked perfectly on my old Intel MacBook Pro, however not working on my Mac Mini M1.

            Hi,

It looks like you may have attempted to install the FFGL plugins intended for Windows machines, could that be the problem? Have you tried downloading the FFGL plugins for Mac OS again and placing them into the FFGL plugins folder as indicated in the Read.me file? I don't have an M1 Mac at hand to verify this though.

my FFGL folder screengrab above, your screengrab below:

@bonemap Thanks for your response. Good spot! I thought the files looked different. So I've started from scratch, I've created my FreeFrame_x64 folder within /Library/Application Support. I've copied the files from the troikatronix-ffgl-plugins-v1.1/Recommended/Macintosh (Isadora 2+3) folder which I downloaded again. They now look like your screenshot. However when I open Izzy 3.1.1 on my Mac Mini M1 I still don't see them in the search bar.

I will add that if I click on Help in the Izzy menu bar and drop down to Open Plugin Folder and then click on FreeFrame Plugins the correct FreeFrame_x64 folder appears.

Any further help from you or the wider Izzy community will be greatly appreciated, I'm totally confused!

Perhaps submit a support ticket with the team.

                Best wishes

[NOTE I've deleted the incorrect messages about the FreeFrame plugins going into the GLSL Shader folder -- Mark]

@pax: are you running on an Apple silicon (ARM/M1) mini-Mac? If so, these plugins won't run because they are not yet compiled for ARM. We will be solving that in the coming days.

If you are in fact running on an Intel machine, please do open a ticket so we can more efficiently solve your problem.

                  Best Wishes,
                  Mark

P.S. @bonemap, I saw those "W"s on the side of the plugins and thought also that they were somehow for Windows, but they in fact have the correct Mac extension, which is .bundle. I'm not sure why it was showing a windows symbol. Weird.

@mark Hi Mark thanks for your reply and clarification. Yes indeed, I was attempting to open these on Mac Mini M1. Everything was working fine on an Intel Mac.

I have already opened a support ticket, so please ignore.

Isadora continues to amaze me! Huge thanks to you and the team for all your hard work. Best wishes Simon
