[ANSWERED] FFGL Plugins on M1 Macbook Pro 2021 M1 Max
-
Hey all! Well I kept crashing on my 2013 trashcan so clearly I had to upgrade. Just got my new Macbook Pro 2021 M1 Max machine. It's a beauty. It has Monterey installed (which I had installed on the trashcan, with Izzy working perfectly fine). I can open the program and I can build new files, but the program crashes anytime I try to open an old file. Obviously a problem. I've submitted a couple reports already, but thought I'd get this topic up since I haven't been able to find much on it yet.
To the future.

Updating as I go. I reinstalled Izzy to 3.1.1(ARM) and now things are opening. Some plugin drama, but that's expected.
-
Specifically, I can't get FFGL plugins to work despite being installed correctly.

Hi
There are a great deal more knowledgeable people on this site.... but I do believe there are restrictions with using FFGL plugins that come with using Big Sur/Monteroy as your OS.
I cannot remember the exact information and advice re these plugins but I do know there has been posts and information submitted to the forum re them. You are best, until someone with a better head comes along, do a quick google search of recent posts.
I am on my phone so this is the best "technical" advice I can offer....!
Hope that helps

@joshuawg Hi, I was experiencing issues with the FFGL plugins on a M1 Mac Mini running Mac OS 12.0.1. Here's the thread: https://community.troikatronix... hope this helps.

We're already working on updating the FFGL plugins to be M1 compatible. They should be available very soon.
Best wishes,

They are coming very, very soon. I'm just in the process of final testing but everything looks good so far.

@woland Is everything supported on the M1 and M2 MacBook Pros now? and most importantly can you open new files? I want to upgrade but also don't want to wade into a nightmare.
