      Hi all

I made a load of Isadora video resources last year (no, wait, 2020! 😨) when I was teaching at Emily Carr via Zoom, that I'd like to belatedly share.

There may be better ways to do some of these things now, and other topics are covered by the Troikatronix Youtube channel, but hopefully you'll enjoy the brevity and style of these videos anyway (especially the Kate Bush episode !)

I'm teaching Izzy again now, at Concordia, and hoping to develop more resources - I also have a load of patches / activities that I need to dust down and share.

Anyway, have fun! Feel free to use and share in your own lessons - feedback most welcome!

      Sam

@videosmith Just dipped into these and they are perfect for me to consolidate what I am doing mainly with depth camera and dancer! We are doing a show based on 7 colours/fragrancies from Gnawa ceremony so the chroma stuff with movement is spot on!

        Thanks so much!

@vidasonik oh wow - sounds great! that will be interesting to see how many colours you can identify as separate tracking objects using that method  - good luck!

@woland Cheers! It's nice to give the students a mix of stuff. They've also really been enjoying Mark and Monty's videos - I've had one student already incorporating automated scene transitions thanks to this tutorial .  I really love seeing them seek out stuff on their own - it's a sign they're enjoying learning the software!!

@videosmith The videos are really excellent as well as the examples. I have been an Isadora user for a long time and I also give many courses and workshops and I felt very identified with your style and approach. Thank you very much for sharing !

@ril Hi RIL - thankyou so much for the feedback - I'm really interested by the differents styles and approaches to teaching technology in arts. It really makes you think about how tools are constructed, about our intentions as artists, and also how you can help new people feel comfortable and hopefully excited to explore such an interface. It would be great to talk more at some point.

@videosmith Thanks Sam amazing resource!! Perfect timing too, I start delivering my workshops teaching Dancers how they can use interactive technology on Monday . This will be amazing starting point for them after their practical sessions . Top draw!!!
