[ANSWERED] OBS Ninja to Isadora
-
Hi everyone,
This is my first post. I am doing a project that requires me to send live video by iPhone to Isadora.
I am thinking to use OBS ninja to share my phone camera to OBS(26.1.2 the most updated version) on my computer, the same computer used with Isadora as the final output. I am sure I have turned on my Virtual Camera from OBS. However, my Isadora has the option to choose OBS Virtual Camera as the video input device, but nothing can be seen on the show preview as well as the Channel when I start Live Capture in Isadora.
Does anyone have a solution?
I am happy if it is not using OBS, but I would like to use Isadora as the output connect to the projector. And I would go for wireless such as using a smartphone.
I am using iPhone SE2 and Apple Mac M1 chips. The venue has good wifi so it shouldn’t be an issue.
Thank you so much.

I've never used a virtual camera to get into Isadora, only to syphon a video image out of Isadora to get into VDO.Ninja.
There are various other ways you can get the ninja video into Isadora:
OBS to NDI - then use the NDI Watcher in Izzy
OBS to Syphon - then use Syphon Watcher in Izzy
I tend to not use OBS, but use Electron Capture App or Vingester (i prefer Vingester) - then use the Screen Capture actor in Izzy. i found that this uses least CPU and is pretty easy if you use an extra monitor for the video windows (although i'm in Intel Mac, i can't comment on M1) -
Hi @chickenroll I simply use NDIHXCamera app on my iPhone and this gets picked up wirelessly in Isadora via the NDI Watcher ready to be output via a Projector actor. I'm using Izzy 3.1.1 on a Mac mini M1. Hope this helps.

NDIHXCamera app on my iPhone
Also what I use. That or Airbeam Pro (which shows up as a syphon source).

And an other +1 one for NDIHX Camera :)
Industry standard for Video over Network (Based on the NDI protocol)
The plugins for NDI Input can be found in our Add-ons section
https://troikatronix.com/add-o... (Please be aware that we have multiple versions of this plugin, depending on what version of Isadora you are using. Please read the description :))
If you need any help feel free to create a new topic / respond to this one.

Thank you, everyone. It is very useful, and I think I will go for NDI.
