      Kia ora fellow Izzydorians,

Came across a problem today that's perplexing me. About 2 or 3 years ago I started using the following technique in Isadora, which has worked well to suit my needs

I use this technique multiple times in a patch i've been working on and updating over the past 2 years. When i load the patch it starts triggering and the end trigger restarts the trigger fine. I just tried building this again from scratch in a new patch and it doesn't re-trigger... but it does in all my old patches, running in the latest version of Izzy (3.2.2), hence my perplection.

Could this be because it use to work in previous versions of Isadora and the old patch has continued to work as i've migrated it progressively each time a new version of Izzy is released? I think i first started using this technique in Izzy 2.6.1 or 3.0.2

Or maybe something else is going on

      Rgds to all, Mr J

You can't create loops like that, that is forbidden. You can escape this by simply connecting your Trigger Delay output to an input again, that is not connected inside the loop. So in your case an Trigger Delay actor or an Trigger value that gets his input from your Trigger Delay (trig out) output would do the trick

but it does in all my old patches

These older patches must have more than just the loop in place. The output value or trigger must go on to activate more within the patch (making the loop valid as a control structure)
