For a permanent installation I need to trigger Isadora through MIDI from a Max/MSP patch. How can I save the MIDI-setup setting to the needed port in Isadora. Each time I restart Isadora, the setting is empty.

      Mac Studio M1 Ultra

      Isadora 3.2.6

      OS Sonoma 14.1.1

That is bizarre. I tried both with and without a license on macOS Mojave on an Intel-based Mac and the same on an M1 Mac running Sonoma and if I make a change to the MIDI Setup and then quit Isadora, the change is still there when I re-launch Isadora. The only way I can get changes to not stick is by making a change and then restarting the computer without quitting Isadora (which I'll log now as a bug).

Can you try the following steps:

        1. Open Isadora
        2. In Isadora go to Communications > Midi Setup
        3. Make any change to an Input or Output Port.
        4. Close Midi Setup
        5. Quit Isadora
        6. Re-launch Isadora
        7. In Isadora go to Communications > Midi Setup
        8. Check if the change you made is still there.

        Best wishes,

        Woland

          I have the same problem.

MIDI port 1 has a MOTU box that it remembers. However port two is a Streamdeck and I have to set it every time. It’s part on my startup routine.

Could you please perform the eight steps I outlined above as written and report back with the result?

Ok, I made the change to add Streamdeck to Port 2, quit Isadora, relaunched and Streamdeck was good still in port 2 spot.

However, when I shut down and restart the computer, Port 2 is empty. Port 1 is still present with my MOTU midi box.

What happens if you quit Isadora before restarting the computer? Does the change stick then?

Yes Correct. If I only quit Isadora and then relaunch it the MIDI selection is exactly how I left it.
