      Hello all

Back with another wave generator related feature request/query. Is there any chance for supporting higher speed wave & pulse generators in future releases? My main reason for this want right now is wanting higher speeds with smooth motion out of the reversible wave generator user actor that Woland built (thread). However, I was also watching some videos about generating scanlines & other shapes with function generators operating at multiples of 60hz, and was wondering if such a thing could be recreated in Isadora (the video for anyone interested). Simply put, the combination of thoughts got me wondering if the 999hz limit is arbitrary, and if it could be increased at all.

I learned a lot about Pulse Generator and Wave Generator frequency bandwidth from this forum thread a couple of years ago:

        https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/4903/pulse-generator-irregularity-of-pulse-triggers-emitted?_=1711355318426

But as computer hardware creeps up in terms of performance it may not be too long before the ‘cycles’ threshold pushes past the 999hz Pulse Generator limitation.

I thought it would be considerate to answer this thread because, when I asked exactly the same thing in 2018 I got no reply: https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/5623/pulse-generator-limitation?_=1711358487838

        Best wishes

@bonemap Thank you for your reply and the link to that thread! I had a feeling the limit might have something to do with the whole cycles thing. I will admit that I neglected to search the forum before asking this question, such is the danger of posting late at night. Hopefully the repeat topic will show that there is continued interest in pushing the limits of these actors. Maybe we'll get an answer this time around, now that hardware has advanced 5 years and gotten more powerful, as you pointed out.
