It is great to see the Blender add-on for 3DS file format support again. It appears in the Blender 4 release (current release).

Therefore, any Blender version after 2.8 and up to 3.5 does not include the 3DS add-on.

 You are welcome. As a lecturer I do try and be clear and concise - but I was doing these ad-hoc and un-rehearsed haha. Thanks though. Appreciate it.

 Yeah, it seemed to appear in Version 4. I'm very pleased - perfect timing too!
