[TICKET CREATED, WORKAROUNDS FOUND] Scenes are lost
-
hello, my scenes got lost when i opened isadora even though i activated them. as i changed from scene blind mode back to normal mode they were back again.
i am having a show tomorrow night so it would be great to feel safe at this point.
thanks for any advice!

Because this is urgent and the behavior described is extremely bizarre (I've never seen or heard of anything like this before) I've created a ticket in our ticket center on your behalf (check your email) in which I sent you a Zoom Link where I'll be hanging out for the rest of the day in case you have time to drop in so I can attempt to assist you with this.

We're still investigating this issue, but for anyone who runs into this in the future who might have the same problem, we found two workarounds which got the Scene Editor and Control Panel displaying properly again:
- Put a blank Scene at the start of the file so Isadora loads into that instead of trying to launch and also get the first Scene ready at the same time.
- To give an analogy, we're now letting Isadora wake up and have her coffee before asking her a tricky question instead of waking her up and asking the tricky question at the same time.
- Normally this is not an issue, but it's my current theory in this case that something in the original first Scene of this file was causing the problem on launch when the Scene was activated immediately.
- In the top menu go to Scenes > Blind Mode to enter Blind Mode, then do the same thing again to leave Blind Mode.
- Put a blank Scene at the start of the file so Isadora loads into that instead of trying to launch and also get the first Scene ready at the same time.

Just echoing the problem here. It's a pretty massive file but I had no problem with it for months and only upon trying to reopen it this week have I been running into this.
Going in/out of blind mode doesn't restore any of the actors and upon closing the whole program freezes and requires a force quit.
Not pressing, but adding more information

Did you try either of the workarounds in my last message on this thread?
-
I did — I can see my control panel, but even after inserting a blank scene at the top and entering/exiting blind mode, none of the actors are appearing in any of the subsequent scenes — I still have to force-quit.
Update: I keep trying to attach the problem file, but it won't upload. It was created October 9, 2023 and is currently 9mb.
Last Update: The set of files attached to this particular project appear to be the only ones behaving like this.
Apple M1 Max 2021 / Sonoma 14 / Isadora 3.2.6
