Windows crash importing media into bin
-
crashpic.jpg I'm trying to import a HAP encoded wav file into my video bin but when I do it hangs and I have to kill the process in task manager. This file is encoded using the same software, codec, method as all my other videos. I'm using the latest Isadora 3 subscription version installed around a month ago. I can't see the version number displayed anywhere in the help dropdown. Windows 10 pro, 32GB RAM, i11, NVS810 and NVidia 3060 graphics card with latest drivers. Tried it twice with the same result.

I'm confused. "HAP" is a video codec and "wav" is an audio file format. I was unware it was even possible to even create a hap.wav file, but even if you did, it wouldn't import into the video bin because .wav is an audio file format, so Isadora would try to import it as an audio file. It certainly may be possible to create a file like this, but I've never used one with Isadora and to the best of my knowledge we've never tested with this odd codec+file format combination, and therefore I'd say that hap.wav is an unsupported media format.
