Enttec DMX Light Flickers
-
@Eva Do you mean from one scene to the other ? Stages, being video normally have nothing to do with the DMX
-
@Armando It is the color of the lamps that is flickering not the video:)
-
@Eva I understand but you talked about "transition from one stage to the next". Stage in Isadora is JUST video. That is why, to try to help, I asked if by saying "transition from one stage to the other" you meant "transition from one scene to the other.

I think this thread may have answers for you: https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/8946/answered-light-flicker-between-scenes-artnet-dmx

Sorry, now I understand, yes its between stages. Or Q1, q2 etc. What should I pug in the activated scene behind?

I can't seem to make it work. could you help me?Here is my patch.
Its now set to activate in Q11 the Q1 but Im not sure what to put in there if I want to change light. right now the scenes I use start from Q13.It would be really¥ nice to figure this out.

Hi Eva,
I guess the light settings in both scenes are different.
AFAIK when transitioning from one scene to another, those values differing between the scenes do kind of crossfade. So does the DMX information.
One possible solution, to avoid flickers could be starting the second scene with the same lighting values as the former one and do the "light transition" inside the scene.
Inside the second scene, use as many envelope generator actors as needed to change the desired values. Start from the former value and go to the desired one in the amount of time you want.I hope this helps.

Im trying to add the project
All I need is the .izz file. Maybe you're trying to upload a .zip file or something else? Failing that, you can always send in your file via a ticket using the link in my signature.

Unfortunately what you started with doesn't help me in this situation, I need to see how you implemented it. I suspect that you may not be using a background Scene for lighting, but I can't confirm that without looking at what you've programmed.
