Live Capture Settings Resolution
-
Hi All,
A quick question about capture resolution.
I have a 4k capture card connected to my Mac & I want to ensure it sends 4k into Isadora.
Under Live Capture Settings>Video input displays I've selected 4k ultraHD 2160p for Resolution, however, the video format below displays an exclamation mark followed by "3840x2160 (scaled from 1920 x1080)". Does this mean that my card only sends HD, or is something happening within Isadora to scale it down?
thanks

What capture card are you using? What resolution is the signal into it?

Yes, this indicates that Isadora sees this as a HD source and is allowing upscaling to 4k. Does your card have any configuration tools?

@nic - all sorted now with a good Cam Link converter, I had a rubbish capture card. Don't trust anything under £50 to produce true 4k output!

Can you tell use the make and model that didn't work for you? It may help others in the future, and will allow us to expand our testing.
