      Hi all

Does anyone know the best way to blur edges when projection mapping with Izzy? the lines are quite jagged around the edges of the projection surface

      Many thanks

looks like a resolution issue. check that everything matches your projector's resolution. (any imported media, video image processing in Preferences - Video, and Output in IzzyMap.)

Also, I have put in a feature request to have a gaussian blur function on each slice in IzzyMap: a slider similar to the Transparency slider. I would find that very handy.

          Cheers,

@smoon A while back @mark created a useful GLSL actor to assist with a similar situation. Here's the forum link: https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/6617/solved-new-shader-fade-out-soften-edges-of-projector-output?_=1737559689583

For more complex masks here are two options provided by @DusX and @Ubik from the forum: https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/8138/answered-shapes-mask-assets-feathering-in-izzy?_=1719215668331 / https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/8871/user-actor-virtual-stage-feather?_=1737559964139

            Hope these help

It could be scaling but it could also be projector antialiassing. Curves don't really exist in a digital world - only blocks of pixels. And if there are not enough pixels you get "steps".
