Questions for you:
- Can you try in Isadora 4.1.3 (the most recent public version)?
- Can you try with the legacy version of Rokoko Studio?
- Are you working with a Rokoko SmartSuit Pro II, or the first version of the Rokoko SmartSuit Pro?
-
1. I'm using Isadora 4.1.3. I entered the wrong version in my original post.
2. I checked it with Legacy, and Izzy is not crashing with that version.
3. I'm working with the SmartSuit Pro II. The crash happens when I stream from the suit or from a mocap recording (e.g., no suit). Not sure if that matters. -

SmartSuit Pro II
There are two flavors of Pro II. One is designed to be used with the Smart Gloves, and one isn't. Which flavor are you working with, and, if it's the gloves one, are you using the gloves or not?
-
Mine is the no Smart Gloves flavor.

Ah, and so you can't use the v2 Suit with the legacy version of the software?
-
That's right. To test out Legacy, I streamed one of the pre-packaged mocap recordings into Izzy. That worked fine; no crash.
To reiterate the problem, I used the same setup for a show back in January, and everything worked great. The only difference now is software. I updated Izzy to 4.1.3 a few weeks ago. Rokoko required me to update the Studio software to the current version a week or so ago.
To reiterate the problem: the setup is: v2 Smartsuit, recent version of Rokoko Studio, Izzy 4.1.3, and a MacBook Pro). The crash happens when I wear the suit or stream a recording of me in the suit. I have both softwares running and, when I click "Activate" on the streaming option in Studio, the Studio Live Watcher starts receiving data and then Izzy crashes. Sometimes the crash happens immediately and, at others, it takes a few minutes to happen. I've been sending the crash reports, assuming that's helpful.
Let me know any thoughts / suggestions.
Best,

Quick follow-up: I completely shutdown and restarted my Mac and restarted. No crashes.

So you're all good now? Maybe it has to do with the order in which things are done. Try to experiment with whether it crashes or doesn't crash if:
- You open Isadora, then Rokoko, then start streaming
- You open Rokoko, then Isadora, then start streaming
- You open Rokoko, start streaming, then open Isadora
To make clean tests, I'd do a restart between trying each of these.
-
I thought it was ok, but the problem is back.
I tested the three options you listed, restarting my computer between each.
All three sequences resulted in immediate crashes. I set the crash reports for each.Let me know next steps,

I'm very confused now that it worked without gloves for you, as we apparently had an issue in our database that said that Rokoko crashes with the Rokoko SmartSuit Pro II if you're not using gloves, but then we resolved it because it looked like the problem was resolved.
If we can't reproduce it reliably, we can't make a fix, so we need to isolate what causes and doesn't cause it.
Between it crashing, then not crashing, then crashing again, did you do anything like:
- Plugging the suit while streaming instead of using wifi
- Changing the network the suit was on
- Changing the network your computer was on
- Changing the port being used
- Un-checking and re-checking streaming in Rokoko
- Using a different Scene in Rokoko
- Unassigning and/or re-assigning the suit from an actor in Rokoko before starting to stream data
- Unassigning and/or re-assigning the suit from an actor in Rokoko while streaming data
- Unassigning and/or re-assigning the suit from an actor in Rokoko after ceasing to stream data
- Anything else you can think of?
Could you also try making sure that your computer is only connected to one network (the one being used for Rokoko).
If none of that seems like it affects anything, we could proceed with more tests (I wish I could do them myself, but I don't have a v2 suit).
