      What's the best to block an area on a stage or on a video so that no video is projected in this area?

              Well, Matthew's solution won't totally work without using an alpha channel.

              See the attached patch for an example.

                Thanks. I can't seem to find the hardware accelerated rending option in the preferences though? I'm using USB key version1.3.0f24

                    Dear @miaverlaine,

                    The Hardware Accelerated Rendering option was removed from Isadora some years ago. It's always on now.
