      Hello all,

I'm fairly new to Isadora and I'm connecting a light board to Isadora by means of a midi to USB converter.  I have installed all the drivers and have the light board firing cues to Isadora, but I don't know how to get Isadora to only fire specific cues from the light board.  I am using Mark's Midi Show Control Watcher actor and have it connected to a jump trigger, but currently any cue from the light board is causing it to jump.  How do I tell Isadora and/or the light board to fire on those specific cues?  For instance, the first projection cue on the light board is cue 1, but then the next cue is 2.3, then 4, etc.  Thanks in advance for the help!

Check out the attached patch. I made this a week ago for a friend looking for the exact same thing you're looking for. Good luck 6da28f-cue.izz

The key is to use the text comparator to parse the information coming in via the MIDI Show Control watcher.  Attached is a patch that I created and have tested firing cues from an ETC ION into Isadora.  It is a little more complex than it needs to be, but it should get you what you need.

At the very basic level, this is what you are looking for:

I made a plugin a while back that will jump to whatever scene matches the cue number you are getting over MSC. As long as you follow the right syntax, you can jump out of order to wherever the lighting console is going. Here's a link to the discussion, which includes the plugin if you want to try it.
