USB Video Capture Device for Mac.
-
I'm sure there is a post here somewhere addressing this but I have been unable to find it. I am looking for decent USB video capture device for MAC OSX that works. I have an EasyCAP DC60 but can't get my Mac to notice it (I think it may be FUBAR-it was cheap!). If I could be pointed in the right direction that would be great.

Blackmagic shuttle intensity is top

Get the videoglide drivers. Here is a link. They are $30 per license. Your easycap only works for windows. The videoglide driver will let your mac see certain windows usb capture devices like the easycap, pinnacle dazzle, the kworld dvd maker, and some other ones. Though it only works with the Easycap dc60+ and not the dc60 so double check which one you have. Don't know why. I have used the videoglide drivers with the dazzle and it works great. This is only a good solution if you don't mind lower resolution capture. 640x480 is the max. The blackmagic shuttle intensity is a better solution if you want a better resolution.

Tried videoglide. It doesn't recognize the easycap. Nor does easycap viewer. Tried it both on OSX 10.8 and 10.9. I am pretty sure I got a bad one (I understand there are a lot of fakes out there) and am sending it back.

feinsinn, I am too poor to buy Blackmagic devices at this point, though I do know they are high quality.

I have an easycap too, but it is the dc60+ and works with videoglide. Get the dazzle and use it with videoglide. I can confirm it works and it isn't very expensive if price is a major factor. There are very few usb capture cards for mac that are affordable.
