In case anyone else needs this (good for connecting to pro video gear- warning if you use this with a projector you may need to change its settings). http://www.ireckon.net/2013/03/force-rgb-mode-in-mac-os-x-to-fix-the-picture-quality-of-an-external-monitor RGB looks a lot better than YUV
