The movie player actor (v1 - I haven't looked at v2 stuff yet) has a range of -10 to +10 for playback speed. Is there any way to go faster than that? I'm hoping for somewhere 20-30x for super fast forward.

      Thanks,
      Alex

well there is a way but without sound, you could set the speed to zero and with an envelope or wave generator that is connected to the position input you can "speed up" the movie. Well it's actually scrolling through the movie :-).

Oh that's genius! I don't need sound so I'm going to give that a try. Thanks!

Worked perfectly for my needs! Thanks again.

For anyone curious, I'm working with a Rocky Horror shadowcast and we are doing a version of the famous scene in Spaceballs where they pull up the video of Spaceballs within the movie. So we are filming the preshows and capturing the file to disk while that is happening. Then when we get to the Spaceballs scene we play back the video at high speed and eventually cut over to a live feed projecting on the screen. We've done it for 15+ years but used to film a dress rehearsal so the file with fast forwarding was all pre-rendered. Last year we used Izzy for it for the first time but there was much less video to scrub through so 10x was a fine speed. This year the scene is much later so we have more video to scrub and the envelope generator worked perfectly.
