I'd love to know how to correct for the 3D surface that is being projected onto.

I have briefly looked at 3D Mesh Projector in Isadora but I have not been able track down the Meshmapper software that creates the .dat files. I wondered if anyone had a link to follow? I have followed the link in the manual but cannot find the mesh mapper app.
It would be wonderful if Isadora could load a 3D object from Cinema4D e.g. an Obj or DAE etc and interactively align the virtual object to the real world one and then Mesh Projector handles the various image corrections. Just thinking aloud...I know, saying is much easier than doing! :)
        Cheers
        Guy

            Thank you Feinsinn.

I followed the links which were the same ones from the manual and still I couldn't find a link to the Meshmapper application. I'm pretty sure I've clicked on all the links in the article but no joy. There's always the possibility I'm being thick which cannot be discounted...
Reading the articles in more depth it looks like mesh mapper is aimed at Dome projection so may not be what I'm after.
It would be nice to know how these chaps projected onto the plane and corrected the images for the shape of the plane. I'm not trying to do anything so complex but trying to work out how to correct for arbitrary shapes. Cheers

Are these links not working for you? http://paulbourke.net/dome/warpplayer/ http://paulbourke.net/dome/meshmapper/)

I was able to install it and do some interactive changes in the grid

I told you being thick was a distinct possibility.

I downloaded warp player a couple of days ago but I cannot find the download link to the mesh mapper command line tool on the second link?
                Cheers

Skulpture, thanks but that's a link to the Warpplayer not the mesh mapper command line tool which creates the dat files for Isadora's 3D Mesh Projector actor.

I guess the author must have removed the link.

I wonder if there is any way to email them/him?

I discovered Mesh Warp Server while looking for 3D projection tools. This seems to do everything I need and is free, kerching!

                          Thank heavens for Syphon...
